Privacy notice

Last updated 29 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data Pawsome Booking handles, why, and what your rights are. It covers two groups of people: businesses who use Pawsome Booking to take bookings, and pet owners who book with those businesses.

Who we are

Pawsome Booking is run by SCH Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, number 17020630, trading as Pawsome Booking. Our registered office is 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@pawsomebooking.co.uk.

If you booked with a pet business

The business you booked with is in charge of your data (the "controller"). We store and process it for them, on their instructions, under a data processing agreement. If you want to see, correct or delete your details, the quickest route is to ask the business. You can also contact us and we'll pass your request to them.

What the business holds through us

Please don't include health information about yourself in notes; it isn't needed to book.

What it's used for

To arrange your appointments, send your confirmation and a reminder the day before, let you cancel your booking, send you a groom report if the business chooses to, and help the business care for your pet safely. If the business has switched them on, you may also get an email when your pet is due for their next appointment, with a link to book. You can say no when you book, and every one of these emails has a link to stop them. The business decides how long to keep your details and is responsible for telling you its own lawful basis; for most bookings this is to carry out the appointment you asked for.

Payments

Deposits are paid to the business through its own Stripe account. Stripe handles your card details under its own privacy policy and we never see or store your card number. The business can see your payment in its Stripe account.

If you run a business on Pawsome Booking

For your own account, we are the controller.

Why, and our lawful basis

If you use our free tools or contact form

When you ask us to email you a no-show policy or a calculation, we keep your email address, any name and business name you give, and what you entered, so we can send it (legitimate interests, and to do what you asked). We only send you marketing emails if you tick the separate box agreeing to them (consent), and every one has an unsubscribe link. If you contact us, we keep your message and contact details to reply (legitimate interests).

Everyone: security and technical data

When anyone uses the site, we briefly record their IP address to limit repeated attempts to sign up, sign in or book (to stop abuse). These records are deleted automatically after 2 days. Our hosting provider also keeps short-lived technical logs of requests to keep the service running. We use this for our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure.

Cookies

We use one cookie, pb_session, which keeps business users signed in for up to 30 days. It is strictly necessary, so we don't ask for consent. We use no analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies on its payment pages to prevent fraud.

Who else handles the data

We use these providers to run Pawsome Booking. Each is bound by a data processing agreement with us and may only use the data to provide its service.

How long we keep it

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how it's used, and to receive it in a portable format. If you booked with a business, ask the business first, as they control your data. Otherwise, contact us at hello@pawsomebooking.co.uk. We'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how your data is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
